Metro Minis Babywearing Education Experience in 3 Ways

When you enter Metro Minis, you will be greeted by one our Babywearing Experts. She will ask you a few questions about yourself and your baby (if the baby has been born yet) to better gauge what type of carrier is the right fit for you. She will explain the different categories of carriers and demonstrate how to use the ones that interest you. You will then have the opportunity to try them on with your baby or one of our weighted dolls. If you are looking for a more comprehensive overview of all styles of carrier, Babywearing 101 would be a great option. A lot of people ask if it's okay to come in while pregnant to try on carriers. We definitely encourage expectant parents to come in before the baby is born, if possible. Babywearing is one of the few parenting skills one can master before the baby arrives. We are sure you will find having a carrier in the first few weeks with your baby to be very helpful." |

Babywearing 101 is a comprehensive introduction to baby carriers. Babywearing 101 covers: why one would choose to wear their baby, how to evaluate a safe carrier and safe positioning in any carrier, and a description and demonstration of the four styles of carriers. After the instructional segment of the class, you can try on the carriers with your baby or our weighted dolls with the assistance of our babywearing experts. |
Private Consultations cost: in-home $100, in-store $50 when: anytime who: usually new parents, but would also be appropriate for expectant parents or parents of older babies and toddlers on a tight schedule
When you call the store to schedule a consultation, a Metro Minis Babywearing Expert will ask you questions about yourself and your baby to gauge what type of carrier would be the right fit for you. In addition to any specific requests, she will bring a good representation of the four styles of carrier. She will arrive at your door at the appointed time. She will first work with you with any carrier you already own that you may need help with. Then she will describe and demonstrate each of the four styles of carriers. Then she will assist you in trying the carriers with your baby or one of our weighted dolls. |
