Wu Shu is China's national martial art. Some of you may know the Asian film star Jet Li. We have one of his former classmates at our store interested to teach young kids 5 to 8 years old the basic movements of the art. They will learn balance movements, stretching with lines and proper postures, simple conditioning to give them a start to healthy bone development, they will learn kick and punch (foam pads), they will learn stance and simple basics.

The floor is the connect-a-mats padded floor so it is safe for them to do some rolls and sit down comfortably.
Instructors name is: Grandmaster E. Aguirre with 27 years teaching experience worldwide Olympic level and 39 years total experience. For the last 9 years he has been teaching kids 5 to 15 years of age in Astoria Queens - a program recognized by the community and Councilman Peter F Vallone Jr.


Classes will be held of course at Metro Minis. Tuesdays from 5 to 5.45 PM - once a week to see how it goes.

Developing an Infant Potty Practice 

Half the world does it: find out why, when and how. 
Better for baby; better for the environment. It may 
sound far out, but before disposable diapers, parents 
recognized their baby's cues for when they need to go. 
Plus, you and your baby can move out of diapers before 
they become a busy and independent toddler! 

EC is practiced in many parts of the world and is 
known also as Elimination Communication, Natural 
Infant Hygiene, and Infant Potty Training. The process 
involves observing one's baby's signs and signals, 
providing cue sounds and elimination-place 
associations, and can be done with or without the use 
of diapers. EC builds on the premise that babies are 
aware of their elimination needs from birth and 
communicate about those needs through various vocal 
and bodily signals.  EC can be practiced full-time or 
part-time, by stay-at-home or working parents. 

2 hours $40 per person/couple

The Pikkolo has a cinching opening on the bottom that makes it easy to narrow the body of the carrier. This is particular useful if you decide to do facing out carries or if

I am very excited about this bibs. They are so neat! The front layer is made out of gorgeous silk. In the middle liner is made out of fleece. Fleece has excellent properties to keep liquids from soaking through. The back of the bib has beautiful layer of babywale corduroy.

Those bibs are not only practical they also look gorgeous. We imported them from Norway where a stay at home makes them in her free time. We have a nice selection in stock at this moment. So grab some before they sell out.

Kissaluvs are here! This was the first brand of cloth diapers I became familiar with when I started cloth diapering.
My son was 4 month old and they looked just so cute. The fit was perfect for us and we used them up till the time he started to use the potty. This brand is highly recommend by me. We just recently added the Cat Bird Mei Tai to our line up. This carrier is just so cool. It comes with an optional belt that can be attached to two loops on the body. This is great because it helps to make the body more narrow so smaller baby can be put in with the legs out. This way if you really want to face out your baby you could do so.
The fabric choices are really urban and it folds up quick. The cotton is super soft. We have some cool prints in stock so come on by and get a Catbird baby mei tai.
